The national agrifood knowledge and innovation cluster is strong and internationally distinctive. The heart of this cluster lies in the Wageningen-Ede region. Chris has been asked to develop initiatives with the parties in this region that further strengthen the knowledge-intensive ecosystem.

These initiatives are part of the long-term AgriFood 2030 investment programme that we have developed with the parties in the ecosystem. Chris lead the valorisation line of the programme, which consists of projects aimed at the acquisition of companies and organisations, attracting and retaining talent, supporting SMEs in their innovation questions, sharing research facilities and pilot plants and strengthening the so-called ‘local buzz’.
